History

Here's how it all got started. When I was a teenager there was an elderly man on our street who was one of the two heating and air conditioning repairmen in town. The gentleman was always tinkering with stuff in his garage and I started hanging around. He taught me about electric motors, combustion motors, and how to understand mechanical devices. He could fix anything. It wasn’t long till I started going on service calls with him. Furnaces were very simple at that time. Back then, service calls were an average of $7.00 a call. The first complete system I helped put in was furnace and AC unit that totaled $750 - how times have changed! When I turned 16 and received my drivers license he let me run service calls for him. I thought it was the greatest job ever. I loved the rush of actually being able to repair a customer’s equipment. But as with lots of things in life this came to an end. This great man passed away but he taught me to be the thorough, patient, honest and always fair. He always said everything you need to know in life you learned in kindergarten. The Golden Rule: Treat others as you would like to be treated.

I continued with my education at the vocational school and received my certifications. Went to work for a great company - they taught me and taught me well. However, through it all there was a desire to run my own company. In 2000 we opened for business out of my garage with a pick up truck and lots of determination. Within two months we purchased our first van, leased a shop, and by 2003 we moved into a larger building and added two more vehicles. We have been so blessed - we now have a fleet of trucks and even bigger facility, not to mention the best staff in the business. All of this is because an elderly gentleman took me under his wing and taught me to be thorough, patient, honest, and fair. This is what you can always expect form Gallion Heading and Cooling.
